'Flying A' is the annual ryegrass variety sold under the Fast Grass Brand. It has consistently yielded exceptionally well in local cool season forage trials. Excellent crown rust resistance and profuse forage production put this variety head and shoulders above other annual ryegrass  varieties for Texas and Oklahoma.

Fast Grass Brand Annual Ryegrass is adapted to a wide range of soil and climatic conditions. Whether heavy clay soils or light, sandy soils, the vigor and rooting ability of Fast Grass make it a top choice for pasture and range overseeding, as well as a companion planting with cereal grains and legumes.

Planting Dates -- Sept. through Nov.

Seeding Rates -- 25-40 lbs/acre, or 20-25 lbs/acre when seeding into small grains.

Planting Recommendations -- It is best to establish Fast Grass on a well prepared seedbed.  Light disking from 3 to 6 inches deep, followed by harrow and roller will be adequate.  If overseeding into an established pasture, the pasture should be grazed or mowed to about 2 inches in height.  Seed should have good contact with the soil.  Plant no deeper than 1/2 inch.
