With the June rain in 2004, the Gotcha Plus grew 6-8 ft. tall with more foliage than the competitor, but it did not head out. The stalk size was no bigger than the size of a small index finger. The competitor’s hybrid only grew 4-5 feet tall and with little foliage. The competitor did head out and the stalk size was about the same, but some may have been bigger. When both the Gotcha Plus bales and the competitor bales were put out for the cattle, the cattle always went to the Gotcha Plus bales first. They seemed to prefer the Gotcha Plus bales over the competitor’s. Buying a quality hybrid at planting time is a savings at harvest when you plant less per acre, make more volume and cattle consume more hay of better quality. Charley M. Dear Buddy, I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much I appreciate you steering me in a good direction for my hay seed this past season. Dad and I planted our Gotcha Plus in mid-April and were very impressed with how it began to grow out. I planted less seed than with my other hay, and that cut my overall cost to less than previous years. We never had a crop of hay that grew any faster and had such large leaves and small stems. We were really amazed when we finally got a chance to cut and bale and realized that the 13 acres made 100 bales (4x6 round bales weighing approximately 1,100 lbs each). We fertilized again with 125 lbs of nitrogen and cut it again in about 6 weeks. Due to the extensive rains we never baled the second time, but I would bet on a conservative figure it would have made 50 bales. The hay has been on the ground now for 6 weeks and if it ever gets dry enough I still plan on baling it. This fall, we have fed several bales from the first cutting and the cows cleaned it up much better than the hay we planted last year. I will plant Gotcha Plus again next year and we will increase our acres. Respectfully, Don and Gordon Walker Waxahachie, Texas

I planted Gotcha Plus along side the haygrazer I have been planting for several years. It wasn’t long after it came up you could see the difference. The leaves on the Gotcha Plus were wider and greener and the stems were tender and juicy. I couldn’t cut my haygrazer when I wanted to, so the one I had been planting started heading out but the Gotcha Plus had no heads at all thus giving me more time to cut it. I plan to plant all my hay acres in Gotcha Plus this year. Kenneth Houdek Waxahachie, Texas
I
planted 40 acres of
Gotcha Plus
the first week of May. In July I baled
311
5x6 round bales.
What I also liked about
Gotcha Plus is that my cattle grazed the regrowth
very well. Also, in the length of growing time, there were not any
heads. Edwin Pustejovsky Hill County, Texas
